Equipments for Presentation
A Windows laptop computer, projector, and switching device will be provided in each room. Please bring your laptop computer or your presentation file on the CD or USB memory stick. We would like to recommend you to use your own computer, because we are afraid of troubles such as unreadable characters and so on so forth. Up to seven machines can be connected with our switching device simultaneously. And hence, please bring a backup of your presentation file.
When you bring your file on the CD or USB memory stick and use a computer already equipped in your session room, please prepare your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint or PDF file. We only supply fonts that are included in the base installation of Windows; fonts other than these should be embedded into your file. The fonts we suggest you to utilize are Times New Roman or Arial. If you use a Macintosh computer, we require to bring your own computer by yourself.
Japanese electrical outlets are compatible with US equipments. We provide electrical outlet adapters in each room for computers with different
outlet types. While the voltage used throughout Japan is 100 volts, most laptop computers have AC adapter for 100-240 volts. See following pages for detail:

An overhead projector will be also equipped in each room. Therefore, we recommend you to bring transparency backups of your presentation to prepare for rare but possible cases that the CD or USB memory does not work by accident.
Please arrive at your session room at least ***30 minutes*** before the beginning time of your session, in order to make it sure that your file or computer prepared for presentation will not meet unexpected machinery troubles. If you need any assistance beforehand, please feel free to ask a computer operator in each room.
